Learning Objective |

Course Outline |
1) Interact effectively with others at the workplace
- Verbal / non-verbal behaviours and cultivate contact with body language when communicating
- Basic communication styles
2) Communicate one’s opinion on current issue
- Identify and communicate issues discussed
- Listening and questioning techniques
3) Negotiation and Conflict Resolution Skills
- Differences between positive and negative feedback
- Ways of approaching a conflict resolution
4) Contribution of ideas and skills in a team
- Taking responsibility of own learning
- Applying what is learnt in the workplace

Trainer |
Ms Kala Manickam, BBA Human Resource Management, has over 17 years of experience in the Human Resource and Development area. Formerly from the School of Infantry Specialist in SAF, Ms Kala developed their curriculum and facilitated their soft skills programmes. She also has extensive experience facilitating learning in Skills Training and Employability Enhancement for the Retrenched and Unemployed Workers (STEER) Programme, Effective Communication Skills, Building Team Effectiveness, Transactional Analysis, Creative Problem Solving, Counselling, Presentation Skills, Problem Based Learning (experiential learning), Emotional Intelligence and Job Seeking Workshops for companies like Singapore Land Authority, Aetos Security, Hang Ten, Panasonic AVS, just to name a few. Her interactive approach to training employs a variety of teaching methodologies and its effectiveness has received many favourable responses from satisfied participants. |
